Cancer Treatment
International Health Care has recently established a cooperation with Fuda Cancer Hospital - Asia's largest cancercenter, where all the latest technologies are in one place - and Anadulo Medical Center in Turkey and Phoenix Hospital Group (Gene Therapy Center, Beijing Haidian Hospital and Beijing Yanhua Phoenix Hospital) regarding cancer treatment by means of gene therapy, managed by Professor Dinggang Li, one of Chinas leading professors in cancer treatment, who has spent several years researching gene therapy, and is trained at the internationally known Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the USA. International Health Care also cooperates with no less than 24 private and public cancer centre’s in China, who all combined offers the following techniques except from the gene therapy; Tumor Targeted Cryoablation Therapy (TCT), Tumor Physical Immunotherapy System (TPIS), Cytokine Induced Killer Cells (CIK), Interventional Therapy (IT), High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), Heat Therapy (HT) and last but not least; CyberKnife.
The knowledge of gene therapy in the West (treatment with Gendicine) is yet sparsely. In China they have treated more than 10.000 patients and in March 2003, Gendicine was approved by the SFDA (China State Food and Drug Administration) and was awarded a GMP Certificate. Gene Therapy is often combined with traditional treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation treatment and heath therapy, but is also useful on its own, or in combination with CyberKnife.
While the effects of gene therapy are still undergoing discussions, the CyberKnife (high-tech radiation therapy) has been proven useful with more than 35.000 treated patients. Unfortunately the technology of this machine is still very new, and only exists few places in the world.
