Dr. Steffen Krause was born on March 9th 1961 and grew up in Wiesbaden. He studied from 1980 to 1986 in Mainz, and then he took on almost 5 years of surgical work in St. Wendel in Saarland. For personal reasons he moved to northern Germany in 1991 and started working at the specialty hospital Westküstenklinikum Heide in Slesvig-Holsten. Since mid-1999 Steffen Krause has been the functioning consulting surgeon for visceral- and vascular surgery in this hospital. From there he went to the hospital in Tönning in the beginning of 2002 with Klinikum Nordfriesland, and ever since he has been the surgeon commander in the surgical department.

Dr. Jürgen Belz is affiliated with the Klinikum Nordfriesland in Husum, where he is surgeon commander in the surgical department. Dr. Jürgen Belz is specialized in minimal-invasive surgery since 1989.
Dr. Belz is in charge of the Gastric Bypass surgeries in Germany for our Nordic patients.
